I’m Andrea Chatelain– a seeker of God, an encourager to his people, a mother to three crazies, a wife to a sports writer even though I am NOT sporty, and lover of books and gardens. I’ve taught English to immigrants and refugees for almost a decade.

I write for this site, Our Daily Bread, guest blogs(like MOPS international), and speak at MOPS meetings and women’s groups and conferences. I’ve met some of the hardest-working, most amazing women and moms along the way. You all don’t know how awesome you truly are.

I’ve been on a journey with God, asking Him to come build up the Spirit in every aspect of my life so that I can live out the fruit of the Spirit more passionately to my people. Truthfully, I didn’t feel very fruitful at all, and I needed Jesus to step in and be my everything. I wanted my life to pour out divine love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control because I couldn’t do it on my own.

If that’s where you are, this is for you. If you want your life to have divine purpose and power, this is a safe place to start.

I pray that as we are reminded of His truth through scripture that He will come and make a home in our hearts and help us live out life-changing love to our people.

In the meantime, grab a cup of coffee, hot tea, or (my favorite) Ben and Jerry’s non-dairy Cherry Garcia, and let’s learn more about God’s ways together. Let’s look for His love, joy, peace, and kindness in the world around us.

With love,

Andrea Chatelain
